a crusade INTO the eye of terror?! looks cool, the IF one is quite nice and i LOVE the gothic artillery in the 3rd :D

my only complaint is i hope the 4rth isnt terra! as whilst its a really nice bit of art it dosnt fit, its too neat, theres lots of space (in the fluff it always says terra is REALLY overcrowded) and its simply too organized to be a spire (my fave 40k structure of all time :P)

it could be macragge though :D

GW have always had amazing artwork, but these pics really do seem to be taking it to the next level. It is stuff like this that does keep me coming back for the big rulebooks, rather than just waiting for the small one to arrive in the starter set.

I can't upload pics as I am on dial-up but some quick examples are the cover to Codex: Blood Angels, Guillman's "O" face, the ancient picture of the Golden Throne (p. 105 BRB), and almost any group shot in Codex: Tyranids book has something funny in it (including a termigaunt that has clearly just smelled its first fart).

The picture of the "pilgrimage"... the golden arch in the middle is aggravating me in ways that I thought were reserved for those I murdered. The proportions are off, and it looks like the artist changed perspectives halfway up the tower!

My only complaint though.

I'm afraid not. I bought it at Salute and haven't got many pages left to go. It feels like the Iron Hands are barely in it and we really don't get much background or flavour for them. They are focused, heartless and the more machine they become, the less they register in the warp. Unless something major happens in the last few pages, it's a bit of a dud. :(

I think that guys a GK personally, with the red and the leafwork on his pads, also the sword looks like a GK weapon. Just my op.

I think it's a grey knight too, but the iconography makes me think it is Nathaniel Garro.
