This model's official designation is the Stormhound Assault Walker after it's bigger brother, the Warhound Titan.

I had alot of fun making this conversion, and hope this guide helps anyone out there looking to make their own version.

Unfortunately unlike a lot of my how to articles that try to help find alternatives to pricey kits and bits, this model is not cheap to make.

But I have a few tricks for you to help minimize what you need, and how to get some cash back out of your extras.

After Sixth Edition drops here shortly, I'll be making a datasheet for this so it has a baseline, rules wise for Apocalypse or friendly games of 40k.

For now though it definitely usable as is, for a Stormtalon itself at the very least.

Hah! Funnily enough I was thinking about a similar design for the Stormtalon. You did a great job, man, that's a very good design. :D

And in this instance the bulky mount for the Assault Cannons actually work, cool conversion.

fantastic vision, I can see a knight titan being made from a similar assembly, hmm

That is a FANTASTIC conversion. I like how the time was taken to make awesome leg joints instead of just hacking and gluing, like I would do.

Good work!

I would have left the engines on for 'jump jets'.

I'm reminded of guardian mode used by Macross/Robotech transformable mecha.

Hmmm....

Love this thing. Hellishly effective, too, 'till RoboCop leads it down some stairs. :P

The more I think about it---- you might see TONS of knight titans in the future. Probably one of the really solid awesome conversions out there.

Although, you could just stick with the Stormtalon's lascannons.

Looks very good, the stormtalon may be getting a lot of criticisms but it looks like a great kit for conversions.

If I was making one of my own, I would swap the hip joints somehow as they look extremely fragile from certain angles.

Tempted to try and see what I can do along these lines with just the dreadknight and stormtalon kits for my mechanicum force, just going to be a challenge to bulk out the legs enough.

He did ;)

not really. He left the maneuvering thrusters (don't blame him, the thing could fall over at high speeds without stabilizers). The engine in the back wouldn't be good for jumping.

I meant leaving the big engines on. but, of course, it looks pretty cool as a Mad Kat.
