Zamora - Supposedly an officer in the Emperor's pre-Legio Custodes bodyguard and the only person ever to escape from the Vault besides the Outcast Dead. From a wiki..

yeah that's what outcast dead says.
it also says he was a congenital dwarf - a custdoses dwarf?!
i keep thiniking of that 'squat' in mechanicum. maybe this is some injoke reference like the way sotek is an anagram of stoke.
btw why is it there is a fortress in the arabian peninsula (empty quarter) yet selling turkish wine?
and the idea canis lupis is extinct - yet everyone know what wolves are.

If he's a Custodes, they sometimes hold something called the "Blood Games", in which a couple of Custodes try to break through Imperial defenses in a mock assassination attempt, to test them for weaknesses. Maybe Zamora was doing the same to test the dungeons?

Do you know what a tyrannosaur is? Do you know what a dragon is?

Wolves actually exist in human history.

wtf?? I totally missed this 'Zamora' reference in outcast Dead. In Conan, it's a city of thieves.
But a Custodes Squat? Can't see that happening.

Walkier said "pre-Legio Custodes" bodyguard. Before the creation of the Custodes, it's entirely plausible that one of the Emperor's guards (or Thunder Warriors, even) could have been a Squat, or just a plain old human dwarf.
