How do!
So, last year I came into a bit of money, and managed to kit out my flat with new toys with bells and whistles. I've gone from a clapped out CRT type telly, to a shiney new 3D High Def Internet Enabled Flat Screen Digital Tellybox. And it's great! Add to this my PS3, BT Infinity Broadband, and various bluray discs, and I have been very much leapt bellowing into the 21st Century.
And it's been brill! Captain America in 3D. Thor in 3D...various other films in 3D. Up to date console games, and ultimately more entertainment than I can shake a stick at!
But now? Now, thanks to an offer from Lovefilm, and my Telly being Sony, I've entered the world of streaming media. Lovefilm itself is more or less alright. Lots of trashy horror films, but not a great deal else I want to watch (and incomplete TV Series...last two epsiodes of Red Dwarf missing!). However due to Netflix being linked to Facebook, I've started exploring this channel as well. And oh my is this good! Andromeda from beginning to end (score!) lots and lots of films, and best of all? Classic Doctor Who. Hartnell and Troughton years. As I have ever single Doctor Who series from Pertwee to the 2011 Christmas Special (yes, even Shada, and I have photos to prove it...), I think it's safe to say I'm a confirmed Whovian. But the episode I now have access to are a bugger to find on VHS (my preferred Doctor Who media, on account the classic DVDs are hella expensive, and I kind of object to this level).
Only just discovered these classic episodes, and I look forward to ploughing through them at a great rate of knots! So, are there any UK serving streaming services I've missed? Considering it's a meagre £11 a month for both Lovefilm and Netflix, I'm happy to keep paying for both, and could quite happily add a third service!
