I would guess that this is most likely the starter set that is expected beginning of September (almost 3 months away) which has been rumoured to contain either dark angels specific models or (more likely IMHO) marines painted as dark angels instead of ultramarines this time.

if you include deathwing, I think you might see more than 5 dark angels players.

Harry recently heard that DA will likely be between CSM and Tau, but 2-3 months is a bit soon for that. I'm guessing Starter for now, with a DA book in say January/Feb.

I'm wondering why Darnok bothered mentioning it when we've already had it from numerous sources that the starter set is DA. It didn't occur to me that was what he was referring too because we already knew.:rolleyes:

Didn't the Fantasy 8th starter come with a couple of additional models for each side, characters that were sold separately? Maybe something similar?

They had the Prince on foot and the Skaven second in command IIRC.

Possibly starter set, w/ Belail and Cypher as add-ons?? (I haven't heard anything, just hoping and praying.)

The Captain in the starter is supposed to be suitable to represent Belial, so I doubt an additional Belial model.

With any luck, Dark Angels will be part of Codex Space Marines. Along with the rest of those other guys, who are Space Marines. Lump them all in one book, and go back to pamphlet format via digital downloads. Install a printer in the Games Workshop Store.

And with any luck: A better way of modifying army rules than Combat Tactics/ Chapter Tactics replacements.

What mostly interests me about new codex releases is the new models to accompany them. I am a bit worried if the DA only get a WD codex the they will get the same treatment as sisters and get sweet F A in the model range.

I know the rumours about the next starter set, but until I see it I expect the contents will be generic marines painted as DA.

i want something new. im really hoping the dark angels dont get the shaft with a wd codex or a copied tactic from other chapters.

chaplains

now most of you might be like "deathwing and ravenwing are already big parts..." not really... 2-3 units... a special bike/speeder and a termie commander.

chaplains and librarians are the most important for me (although i could live with one)

chplains need to awesome for the DA... all those secrets...

I could see Chaplains getting the necron royal court/wolf guard/seer council treatment, fieldable as a unit or attached to squads.

Anything less and the Blood Angels will have already covered it.


Still stand by my original thought that this is about the starter set and not a new dex this year. Otherwise chaos won't make it into the schedule :(

Ever thought that both romours might be true? What if the DA became the posterboys for the CSM? With the new fluff and background about the SM and the Empire, why couldn't they fall even further?

I'm looking forward to seeing the books and the new core game then, and only then will we know...

Oy vey... I play Chaos and my son plays Dark Angels. Add in the new BRB and it's gonna be an expensive few months for me.
