Another question re: Necron Death Ray.

I don't want to hijack the other thread regardin the Necron Death Ray, but I have another question about said weapon.

What is the prevailing ruling on the Death ray. I was involved in a discussion as to how the Death ray works and such. I think the rules are pretty clear on how it functions, yet this other person doesn't seem to see it as such.

My search fu is not up to finding me a thread about it.

Ah, i totally missed that little point. I was looking for something bigger.

Seems like a total screw job to the necron player upon finding the answer.
