The Stormtalon has been getting a little bit of a bad rep online for being fugly, but I think it is generally a good looking model and it was only a few small things that made it look awkward. The biggest eyesore is the truly inspiredly bad turret, the other is the oversized tail.
Here is my attemp to fix the turret. I left the tail as it is as I could not come up with something that would have looked better, maybe if I could get my hands on some of the left over bits from the ork fighter, I could come up with something. Maybe next time.
Still a bit of a WIP as I am currently working on a mini diorama to go on the base.

Generally pleased with how it turned out. Only thing that annoyed me was when I applied purity seal to it. Never used it on clear plastic before, so was pretty disappointed by how it misted up the canopy as I spent a lot of time adding details to the inside that can now hardly be seen.
The weapons pods are fully magnetized and could easily be changed to any of the weapons layouts or even flipped back to their standard position if desired.
I decided to build a new AssCan turret using two landspeeded Asscans, although I had to build a new mount as the speeder mount would have massively restricted how much the weapon could traverse. Besides, I think the stormtalon turret has much potential to act as a replacement turret for the stormraven, but that's another conversion.
Apart from the movable sensor turret, no other part of the original model needed to be changed in any way.
