I really like these. My next project is Brazen Minotaurs and these releases make me happy :)

I am looking at the names on the right of the sprue and 2 of them are the existing special characters for the minotaurs. Could these names be characters in the up and coming IA book?

Yep, they are. If you check out the brass etchings page, the secondary picture is of these guys without the eagles and with the etchings.

Regarding the Brass Etch, why did they sculpt wings behind some of the heads? Seems as though there are already enough chapters with a wing motif, unless they're referencing the winged Taurus (http://www.forgeworld.co.uk/Warhammer/CHAOS_DWARFS/CHAOS-DWARF-BALE-TAURUS.html) and in actual fact we'll find the Minotaurs turn out to be Chaos Squats!:rolleyes:

Wings are kind of a generic Astartes thing, what with being the Angels of Death and all.

The Minotaurs, Blood Angels, Black Templar, Grey Knights, Space Wolves, Dark Angels and vanilla/Ultramarine kits from GW and FW all look quite different from one another, while still sticking to the general aesthetic themes of 'wings and skulls' of which the Astartes and Imperium as a whole seem so fond.

I understand where you're coming from, but I think they put quite a bit of effort into those markings - even the borders of the brass template have little Greek patterns etched on there that you can cut out and use.
