How do you make gold paint of a citadel type without buying it??? Please help!!!!

To substitute for any metallic paint, you're going to have to buy a metallic paint. Theoretically you could mix silver, ochre, and umber acrylics to get a gold-like colour... the simplest solution, of course is... buy gold paint.

Your question is slightly unclear. Are you trying to match a Citadel paint because you've run out and can't buy anymore anytime soon, or are you trying to get a usable gold without buying Citadel paints?

Vallejo liquid metal is hard to beat as a GW alternative, Its alcohol based so cant be thinned with water. It is the best metallic range of paint and I get mine from eBay.

Of course you could always use gold leaf (or a metalic leaf stained to the correct colour)

Thank you for coming home
I'm sorry that the chairs are all worn
I left them here I could have sworn

These are my salad days
Slowly being eaten away
Just another play for today
Oh but I'm proud of you, but I'm proud of you

Nothing left to make me feel small
Luck has left me standing so tall

Gold
Always believe in your soul
You've got the power to know
You're indestructible
Always believe in, because you are
Gold
Glad that you're bound to return
There's something I could have learned
You're indestructible, always believing

After the rush has gone
I hope you find a little more time
Remember we were partners in crime

It's only two years ago
The man with the suit and the face
You knew that he was there on the case
Now he's in love with you, he's in love with you
My love is like a high prison wall
But you could leave me standing so tall

Gold
Always believe in your soul
You've got the power to know
You're indestructible
Always believe in, because you are
Gold
I'm glad that you're bound to return
Something I could have learned
You're indestructible, always believing

My love is like a high prison wall
But you could leave me standing so tall

Gold

You'll have to forgive dear old Kipling, enriched Uranium is master of them all (or rare earth elements...)

I guess we should change the '40k Modeling and Painting' forum to '40k Art' forum.

Oh no, they'll start off with lilac to paint gold.

"We need to paint red, what colour is more difficult than red?"
"I know, let's start by painting it yellow!"
"Genius."

Though I think you could do some nice verdigris effects starting with a green base...

Yeah, but Forge World are f'ing insane. To paint the Brass Scorpion red they start by painting it yellow.
To paint the Reaver they start by painting it white.

MADNESS.

It might produce the best results, but for the majority of people it is just slightly over the top.
Though if I were paid to paint i would make sure that I had a very elaborate process
