Though I like the idea of my Great Company remaining landbound...been thinking of bulking up my motor pool when I get back to that army and changing to Egil Ironwolf's Great Company. Just hope Whirlwinds get some sort of AA missile they can fire, if fliers get their own rules in 6th. :P

Aaaagh where are the Chaos Marine Fliers?

I have only recently been able to use my Hellblade fighter and dreadclaw assault pods for general games (with opponents permission), and for comp ganes that allow FW equipment, but a plastic kit fighter/fighter bomber that has an official codex update for it, would be so over due.

Perhaps something akin to a storm raven, and another kit that can be made into either a fighter or fighter bomber.

It is just for Vanilla Marines, however, any army is free to take it in apocalypse. And I'm sure if you bought it then you can convert away and use it to your heart's content. I would allow any Marine army to use it.

At GW Shrewsbury we have Space Wolf Stormravens, Black Templar Stormravens, etc

Just because it says that you can't officially have them, doesn't mean that you can't include them in your army. Remember that it's YOUR hobby, and enjoy it.

I like that it states within 6" of the entry point, not within 6" of the unit it is attached to.

That means, for example, you could have a Land Speeder Storm move 12" from outflank and drop of its scouts, while the stormtalon maneuvers 12" to get a firing solution on a target.
