Is anyone else getting a pop-up screen supposedly from Forgeworld when they go to FWs site asking permission to put cookies on your comp? My antivirus flat won't let it happen, and now has FW listed as an unsafe site.

Same here, they're desperate for marketing info.

Actually its the opposite. Prior to this new legislation websites could download cookies to your computer without permission. Now they have to ask. Its new (EU i think) legislation, came in to effect yesterday

as per DrLove new legislation means that they have to gain your consent in order to do this. they have been doing it for a long time already but you will not have known simply because it wasn't law that you had to be informed. unfortunately there is nothing we can do about this and i wouldnt be surprised if we see more and mores sites introducing a disclaimer or not allowing you to view theml. GW are in no means desperate for marketing info, they are just complying with the latest legislation.

Install DoNotTrackPlus on your browser, and you'll see how many websites track all your movements.

If it's Forge World then it's got to be something to do with our computers machine spirit, just keep praying to the Omnissiah and everything will be fine.
