We at Genius Factory Games (http://www.geniusfactorygames.com) have come up with some new counters/tokens that both help keep track of these effects and look good on the battlefield!

I'll copy my comments from dakka:

I don't play Necrons, but I think these Swarm counters are brilliant. Swarms are low enough that LOS is not really an issue, price means that it is easier for scarab farm players, and they look good to boot. Selling them in various size lots is also quite convenient.

On that thought, would it be possible to do a small round base with a slot for a Termagant "Space Raptor" sized marker? Doing that in say 4-5 colors would likely be of interest for Nid players, especially with competitive pricing.

We have a lot of projects on our plate already-- we're going into an expedited summer release schedule that should see several new releases in the coming months-- but thanks for the suggestion! We'll look into it.

These counters are really interesting, not sure if I would use the "ressurection" counters, because I would just knock over the model so no biggie. But the wound counters for the bigger guys letting you count down is really neat, and the character ones for ever living, I like.

Hello, Bell of Lost Souls!

Genius Factory Games is proud to announce that we have just released a new set of "Sadism Counters" designed to allow people to keep track of the units killed by their forces on the battlefield. Each set comes with three counters representing one kill, two counters representing two kills, and one counter representing three kills. The counters feature an intricate pattern of vines that grows more and more dense and thorny as units rack up the kills, as pictured below:

Nice-looking counters, but those last ones are really hard to read...

Thanks for the feedback!

If you're referring to the yellow counters, they are substantially easier to read in person! The flat black background makes them come off more "transparent" and less orange than they normally look-- we're looking into getting some pictures with different background colors to give a better indication of how those might look on the gaming table.

I was referring to the last batch, actually, with the vine patterns.

It just looks too busy and the numbers don't stand out enough.

By comparison, I think something like those new munitorum dice GW has do a good job of making sure the numbers are clear, as they have bold outlines that separate them from the background patterns.

That being said, they are nice, as with your other counters.

So, we at Genius Factory Games have been working on several new counter designs that will be available shortly. However, we've been running into some snags with one of our more recent designs and would like to take this opportunity to solicit some feedback as to what the community wants.

Our latest design is for a "Space Federation Target Marker" counter. This counter can be used to keep track of the effects of units equipped with laser target designators on the battlefield. However, we've run into a design snag-- namely, whether or not to include text in our design. We feel that the text adds clarity to what the counter represents, especially for those unfamiliar with the "Space Federation" æsthetic, but we're not sure whether the community would prefer more basic designs, as seen with our "Space Undead" line. Below is a preliminary (iPhone) picture of the two prototypes-- one with text and one without--

Personally love the succinct one on the right. It would certainly instill more fear in me to see just an alien crosshairs on my precious heavy weapon squad, than what looks like a sign advertising 'targets inside!'.
