Hey guys and girls
So i got bored and decided to put together a list of my Salamander chapter that i wanna build. Its gunna cost loads and im broke been working on it for like 4 years now. Ive had to put it up as a file on scribed, its not fully finished as there will be names for the squads, brother marines and all that.... its gunna be a long way. ive got around 5k of the points already...but there is like 35k that needs filling lol...£6,500ish.... hahaha but th salamanders are a chapter well worthy cause as they are IMO the best marine chapter

Your best bets are steal it. Or somehow acquire a large sum of money.
that kind of list is probably best done over a period of time.
Due to how it was loaded on the site, i didn't see how many companies you had.
I would think that there would be some sternguard and vanguard in the first company, not all termies. What you think you're Dark Angels? Just kidding about that last bit.

Yea by help i mean in any way like models or bits or info as to where i can can get real cheap stuff or like salamander conversion bits
As for the companies there are seven in total, 1st company with all termie armour as thats how i want them fielded and the salamanders have access to a artificer set of armour and terminator in the first company (due to them being master blacksmiths) company 2-5 are tactical companies, company 6 is reserve and 7 is the 60man scout company. I also put down techmarine like company with all the chapters techmarines. At the beginning there is a full command break down but captains are in the companies list. The very end list is tanks that will be spare in the army. Tried to completely build the chapter lol...
I got ambitious i know and itll be a long time before i actually complete it but... im gunna try it

I'm not sure you'll get much help with models but for cheap stuff the best bet is always Ebay. If you want new, check out the online retailers. Wayland generally get good press.

I am doing Salamanders at the moment and struggling to get 1000 pts done, besides a few other things such as is my hobby butterfly habit, my advice is get an airbrush or even just a basic airgun, painting green is gonna get old real quick with that lot, either that or the green army painter spray.
As for buying cheap, eBay is your friend and you can then strip the models and start afresh when painting them.

You mean the 703 page list? That list?
Deadlift--what are you having trouble with? Acquiring models, or painting models?

Painting them mate, :) I saw a tutorial on YouTube by a painter called JudgeGudge, its for DA but works well for Salamanders too. However it does take about 7 coats / shades to get it just right. It took me 15 hours to paint 5 models but the end result is great IMO.

As for the list, it's a monster. I steer away from net lists myself and tend to paint models I like for my armies. Its a big read mate, looks like your going for the whole chapter and then some.
