Hello everyone!

I just finished reading this last night and my god, I was gobsmacked. This book is absolutely brilliant.
The Raven Guard and Brazen Minotaurs are all familiar characters (featuring in Helion Rain, Labyrinth of Sorrows, and Prey).
This book may have come at a hefty price, but a price that I believe was worth it. Now, George Mann isn't particularly well known but I gave him a chance and it paid off.

The Brazen Minotaur's are on a planet fighting a losing war against traitor forces when the Raven Guard show up and tip the balance. The reason that they're both on this planet is that it has an irregular orbit, which, at it's apex, brings it very close to another system. The Death Guard (Warband name: Empyrean's Blight) are using this as a way of spreading The Sickness, a typical plague by Nurgle standards. The planet has a weird natural defence system which means that they can't just bomb the planet.

There are some moments of pure bada$$ery in this book, the Raven Guard ambush some Death Guard and kill them all in like 3 seconds flat. Bear in mind that only Shadow Captain Koryn has power weapons.
They have trouble with an Obliterator though, and rightly so, they end up having to demo charge it.
Also, Cultists are as pitiful as ever, and are basically meatshields for the Death Guard.
The collaborative efforts of the RG and BM means that both parties walk away having completed their objective of destroying The Sickness.

The war for the Sargassion Reach continues. But who shall be victorious?
