Remember how I mentioned a while back that I was magnetizing the Stegadon?

Well, here it is. Please forgive the primary colors: the project is primed, but not yet painted, as of these photos. I'll post more when I've completely finshed.

First of all, the Steggie set up as an ancient with Engine of the Gods:

And as an Ancient Steggie, w/Skink Warchief (I also have an option for Ancient Steggie without Warchief, but I forgot to photograph that one).

And as a 'nilla Steggie:

Here's the front of the howdah, with it's magnets:

The Ancient Stegadon shield connects like so:

And the giant bow connects the same way:

Here is the howdah, empty, to show magnets:

And a random Skink (the Warchief) to show how the magnets are attached to the feet:

The Engine of the Gods is something I'm particularly proud of:

And, at last, the blowpipes - they operate on a similar principal to the Skinks:

This project was altogether tons of fun. I hope it's inspired some of you to try something similar. I'll be watching this thread, and I'm happy to answer questions.

Anytime I see magnetized models the magnets are set into holes drilled out of the model so the attachments do not sit up any higher, any reason why you didn't do that?
