So I had some time to start building some terrain...

Here are my works in progress.

First up...a Bastion.

Used a "Mega-Jug" from KFC as the tower. A tile left over from a bathroom remodel, 4 cardboard tubes, and 4 1" cubes to the top. Door way is made from some broken keychain flashlights.

But having played a planetstrike game with just one bastion...I decided to make a few more.

Next a bunker. First I found this wooden box at Micheals for $3.00.

Remove the latches, add some wooden coffee stirrers, and blocks.

I'll round out the top by adding sandbags made from super scuplty.

the new Fortifications...

that's all for now...

The bastions, while obviously not as detailed as the GW bastions, have a style of their own that I actually like quite a bit. A bunker is so simple that almost anything can look good. Job well done.

Hey if you put a lil texture paint on those and a few city scape bits I can see those looking really good. I can't wait to see the final result.

good job, simple but effective. I may just have to 'borrow' your bunker idea

post them once they're finished dude

Hmmm. well, I'm not so keen on the bastions as they look like large yoghurt pots with kitchen roll tubes around the top. Which also serves to make them look top heavy. A bit more detail, possibly with textured paint or some such to disguise the origins of the parts.

The bunkers, though, are sweet. Very smart, just be mindful of removing any sense of the woodgrain. textured paint again would be an excellent way of defeating this issue.

You could even smear plaster on them to give them that concrete look , And just buying one of the city fight buildings and breaking it up spreading the bitz onto these will make these look good .

They are made of Flower Pots (upside down), and some Domino Rally* parts. The Quad Gun is made from Coffee Stirers, Fuses, a fancy paperclip, bottlecaps, a paper recept roll, and an empty paint pot!
