LOL I thought this was gonna be about how to stabilize top-heavy models... instead I find funnies and amusement, so it wasn't a loss for me :-D

Is this from the same guy who does "Order of the Stick" or are they just copying the style?

Probably kinda hasty to call it copying, stick figures will always look kinda similar.

Order of the Stick has a fairly specific look to it, even though they're stick figures. It was all the rage a few years back - lots of people in the online geek community were copying it. If the word "copy" leaves a sour taste, then let's just say "inspired" instead.

This is so blatantly an OotS rip off...

This is so blatantly an OotS rip off...

A blatant rip off would be 6 adventurers named Leeroy, Alen, B, Lahey, Khandur and Karbell heading off on an adventure to fight the evil Lich Zichno and his vile companion Blueshoes.

The art of Wobby Model Syndrome is definitely inspired by OOTS, in the same way Mike Krahulik from Penny Arcade's art is inspired by Stephen Silver. You can take elements of a particular art style and make them your own.

If you look at the latest strips, you will definitely see how WMS is different than OOTS. For starters the characters are less detailed, the backgrounds are non existent and the comic is composed of gag-of-the-day strips.

If anything, the comic resembles Cynide and Happiness more than OOTS.
