All in all I’m really happy with this piece and will be doing my 2nd Contemptor in the same style to match

This is my first attempt at a Paladin, still needs basing but I’m reasonably happy with it

This is my WIP Dreadknight, I magnetised the arms and there supports to allow me to adjust the pose on the arms, paint wise I’m gonna aim this one to be similar to the dreadknights, kind of a weathered metallic feel

Ow, completely missed this thread. Nice stuff, I especially like the greenish tint to the metal. Looks very heavy-duty.

Thanks for the comments, the DK is still very much WIP but I'm so pleased with how the metal effect is working I'm thinking about applying it to a few terminators too see how they turn out, anyway a little bit of randomness, I managed to get hold of Lysander on e bay as I have in mind to convert him to use as Mordrak, this is my first fix, obviously still needs a little filing and undercoating but stance wise I am quite pleased. The green stuff on the leg in particular looks a little off but that's just the way the camera makes it look, its actually a lot smoother than it appear there

The next step will be to make a liber daemonica outta green stuff for the chest and then once its in place an undercoat can be added to remove whatever paint was left over from the previous owner

Quick update on my WIP DreadKnight Brother Faethor.
First of I got round to sorting out the sword, basically drybrush boltgun then loads of layers of asurmen blue, little lightning and then a gloss varnish, would really appreciate C&C on this as I have another sword which i'm thinking of doing the same way but using Baal red and going for a burning lava type effect for the other hand.

I also attempted to sort the pilot out as he was in danger of disappearing into the background so I redid the armor to make it stand out a little more

Needless to say I still have work to do but overall I'm really pleased with how this piece is coming together

i raided my bits box and have come up with the following bits (Blu-Tacked on at the moment)

I really dig this last terminator. It looks sick..one comment on your Paladin, your better off priming them white and then using lack to fill in as needed. The white paint is very thick and can tend to look clumpy, but over white primed you can be sure to keep it thinned properly.

Update on my GM who still needs a name if anyone has any ideas. I have removed the warding stave end from the librarian arm and replaced it with a halberd, its actually a little longer than the standard halberd by about 4mm, not sure if I'm gonna cut it down or not, anyway I have now undercoated although everything is still Blu tacked at the moment pending a final fix.

On a separate project this is my Librarian and yes I did drill his eyes out on purpose. I'm trying to get a glow emanating from the sockets to represent all the Psychic power this guy has, I figure his psychic ability is so strong that it burned out his eyes
feel free to ignore the rest of tyhe paint it is WIP, and Im using lots of watered down layers :)

Update on my Grandmaster

I have now added more detail and have build up the metal coats to give a more realistic steel plating effect (I think), I also did shoulders with writing on the books and washes on the gold, again not finished but getting close now. I do find that every time I take pictures I spot more bits that still need to be done but I'm beginning to see this as a good tool to check where I'm at
