Had a situation where a vehicle squadron was shot at with 3 vehicles.
veh A was the closest and in the open
veh B was partially obscured (not 50%)
veh C was behind a building and completely out of LoS
I got 1 penetrating hit which my opponent assigned to veh C/obscured and then took the 4+ save (he argued it should be 3+ since I can't even see it).
The rulebook says something like this:
Rulebook p64 states that you use the rules for vehicles to determine if each squadron member is in cover (ignoring other members of the squadron, as if they were not there),
and then the rules for normal units to work out if the entire squadron is in cover or not.
As I read it. You use the normal veh/obscured rules to see how many veh wold actually get a cover save. Then if 50% or more would the entire squadron would.
And in my above example, since only 1 vehicle would count as obscured (no LoS at all) then none of teh vehicles would get a cover save.
Is this correct?
