Hello all, first time I've posted, though I've lurked around the forums for quite a while. I wanted to post my Necron army and get some opinions on the paint scheme I used. Sorry about the lousy pictures, the only camera I had available was my phones.

Not bad, I like em. Mine are similar, but mostly primered in chrome instead of black/grey (and I'm still painting and experimenting).

Would you mind taking a closer picture of your command/annihilation barge?

I like the color combo, but it seems a little drab in the photos. Maybe a bit more highlighting or a little more brightness in the blue? Or maybe it's just the photos: there's a lot of white, which may be causing the exposure to be a bit off.

I'll see if my wife can find her camera for me to "borrow" for some better pictures. but it will likely be a bit, as my army is currently located in a different city than me. They look a bit brighter in person.

Paints used are boltgun metal, followed by a Badab black wash, then a drybrush of boltgun to get some of the metallic back. A few details are picked out in chainmail. That's it for the body. the blue parts are Necron abyss, with a light patterning of enchanted blue, then a even lighter pattern of ice blue. It gives an almost lightning looking effect when it comes out right, like energy crackling over the armor, but it doesn't turn out great in pictures. Weapons are done the same way, and any of the lines for example, the lines on overlords shoulders and an the barge, are done in ice blue.

Other metallic details are picked out in Tin bitz all gems type objects use the same colors as the blues, with a gloss varnish coating them. As for the warriors, I'm waiting on http://store.miniwargaming.com/product/blue-tube-thin.html to come back in stock to replace the green rods.

Sorry it took so long. Wife's camera was broken, and just got a new one. Here are some better pictures, and a close up of the barge. Also present are WIP stalker, and a monolith. I've wired up the monolith with 2 blue led's and am working on a clear casting of the crystal and gate to replace the green ones.
