In the GW Worcester facebook update today.....

Games Workshop: Worcester
Good morning folks - so we're now under 24 hours away from our Awesome Saturday of 24 hour opening. We've got 10 people coming down at midnight to be some of the first in the country to get their hands on new paint, new empire and their Games Day Tickets - what's stopping you?

Not sure what's happening tomorrow? Here's a quick re-cap:

Midnight tonight we open and start the process of building and painting a 2000 point army of the new Empire models which we're so confident in the new Citadel Paint Range we've said we'll do (building and painting) in 24 hours.

Through the day we're inviting people to come down and take part to help us build and paint. We're also running demos all day for those of you who haven't had the chace to use the new paint.

We'll also be working on our super secret Games Day project from tomorrow so you can come down and find out what it is we're doing for this year's epic event.

If you can't make it down to store to get your paint, your Empire or your Gmaes Day ticket then don't worry - you can still follow the action right here on our facebook page as we'll be doing a 'live' feed with updates at least every hour throughout the day.

Finally - if you do want a Games Day ticket tomorrow (the best way to ensure you get one - don't forget they sold out last year) don't forget you'll need to be a White Dwarf subscriber ... there's never been a better reason to subscribe (other than the money saving etc.) as this years Games Day promises to be of EPIC proportions.

DON'T MISS OUT.

Possible re-release of Epic? Anybody else heard anything. GW worcester dont tend to be very subtle with their hints.

Hmm not much to go on, but that would certainly be very interesting if it's true, and would tie in to the "Year of 40k" quite nicely, though what with everything else they have going on this year I'm not sure they can fit yet another system into their already crowded schedule.

Epic would be great to see again, but it's not a very good candidate for a stand alone box game (a la Space Hulk, Dreadfleet) as there's just too much to fit in one box really. The main appeal of epic is that's well... epic, and I doubt very much that you can really get that in just one box.

Whispers of Blood Bowl, yes, Epic, no. It could simply be a reference to some display the store is putting together for Games Day rather than a company release thing.

Honestly it isn't that likely a store would know what may or may not be being released as far off as around Games Day.

Could be an announcement of some kind, as opposed to an actual product release. Could be the announcement of 6th edition with some kind of countdown or a display, or one of the other things mentioned here (epic, blood bowl, etc.).

If I remember correctly, each store is obliged to run some sort of game event on the day, so it is most likely linked to that.
