ideas for quick, cheap, and easy craters?

If your not concerned with 3d models you can always get a small sheet of felt from Walmart for 29 cents and cut out different sized circles to use as craters.
Or take toilet paper and soak it, squeeze out the water, then use it to make a paper mache type crater on a 3x5 card. A bit of paint (spray black then drybrush some brown) and you should be GTG.

Shower curtain rings, tape, cardboard and sand. Combine add paint.

Tinfoil!

Tear off a sheet. Roll it into a "log" then place the ends together and make a ring. Proceed to mash it into shape and hot glue it down. Primer then paint. Done!

Plaster of paris over cardboard. Cheap and pretty easy and quick.
