Fenryll Miniatures (http://www.fenryll.com/index.php) are a French company that have quite an extensive range of models. Unfortunately I can't get the largre pictures on their website to load so I'll be using the smaller ones from Coolminiornot. The sculpts have a bit of a retro theme which probably isn't too everyones taste.

Back to the miniatures, the ranges are vast:

Darkness Organist

They have quite an extensive range of dragons, they are a bit too cartoonish for me.

Not heard of this company before and they have some nice Amazon's in their range. Starting to think that between all these companies there's enough variety of figures to do a small Amazon army (counting the Mordheim band in too), probably as a counts as Lizardmen.

I was thinking much the same thing.:) More than enough for a Mordheim band, probably enough for an army. Counts-as Lizardmen is the obvious choice, though I'm not sure how you would represent Saurus armour saves.

Ohh I think I'd borrow your idea of a "distraction" save.. boobies go up, eyes follow, blades come down "ohh look I'm dead..." ;)

Well scultped and a nice website, but sadly the retro style isn't working for me. Good to see they have so many models though, I'm sure they will get plenty of fans.

Looking at the Inn, at least, it's not suited for 28mm stuff.

Browsing their website, the samurai themed guys really make me want to start a counts-as empire army with samurai.

Fenryll continue to update their range with nifty civilian models for adding flavour to terrain/dioramas:

The ploughman

Harypy (a rather nice one at that)

In fact any oder over 60eu upto August 16th gets a free ploughman.

Certainly better than the GW DE harpies.

I'm not sure I'm aware of any harpies that are worse than the GW ones to be honest,

Terrain is cool.

But again...another company, another fixation on female models? I don't understand that!

Fenryll doesn't have a particular female fixation that I've noticed, it's jsut that I tend to select female models to show here. The reason I tend to do this is simple:

a) I review what I know and I tend to buy female figures more than others
b) Female 28mm sculpts are much harder to sculpt than males, good females indicate better scultpors/higher quality.
c) Female sculpts are prettier...

And don't forget these are alternatives to GW models and GW don't do many female models, so female models are automatically alternative!
