Tau news?

I was hearing for a while that the tau were next to get a codex but all of a sudden the rumors stopped..... Was the news i heard all proven false? anyone have any feedback on this? Does anyone else even know what I'm talking about? Am i drunk? yes.........but i know what i heard!

From what I know, a lot of the rumors stemmed from a post by Abusepuppy at 3++ and he has since come out to say it was a joke or something to that affect, perhaps a social experiment in web-nonsense. I believe there may have been another source spouting about the timeframe that also didn't pan out. Ultimately I would say you should probably continue to enjoy your Demirug-less Codex for a little while longer.

:( that makes me a sad panda.Thats ok though! I will continue to play the underdog and hope the 6th ed rules dont wreck me. Maybe they'll buff pinning or somthing *fingers crossed*.

Tau are due and they are still a pretty popular army so don't lose hope. Be patient and hope for a late 2012 or early 2013 release. I think the current crop of codex rumors are pretty solid and 6th Edition's almost certain arrival this summer will probably leave Tau out in the cold for the near future.

Most of the current batch of rumors about Tau came from a poster called ghost21. He was discredited when a certain author of Black Library books definitively stated that ghost21 was not in some meetings that he claimed to be in (the author was in those meetings). That, coupled with a general denouncement of his rumors as false by longtime rumor monger Hastings, ended the general belief that Tau were coming any time soon.

Since that time, Harry has said that he thinks (probably just a guess) that Tau will be the first codex of 2013.

Abandon all hope all ye who enter Tau. No codex on the horizon for 2012. Search forum sites until your eyes fall out, and they'll all say the same. No tau codex in 2012. The best you can do is to download the new units stats from forgeworld and play with a few new toys which make it more interesting, but pulling out a decisive win is just as frustrating and unlikely.

As a rule, if you cannot find a recently updated thread regarding your desired rumor in, say, the top ten results in the rumors thread, then it isn't there at all. People pounce on rumors like wounded gazelle.

They really better give tau some love soon, 2 codex with Suits whose ankels ALWAYS break.
An army which came out just before an edition which screwed them over. I mean seriously tau have anti tank sure, But its soo expensive.

GW better give my tau a 1 point model that auto wins on a 1+ or something.

OH MY GOD I THOUGHT IT WAS JUST ME! lol a couple of minor drops have broken about 5 sets of ankles! and they're a pain in the arse to fix.....

I don't see any Tau til mid 2013 at the earliest according to what is going around now. GW may have finally done me in with the wait.
