Hey everyone!
A few months ago, my friend asked me to make a Black Coach for his VC army, based on the Corpse Cart kit...but that would have been too small for a proper BC, so I decided to scratchbuild it, using wood and plasticard, some parts from a historical kit, and a few plastic bits for decoration. It's almost done, but I can't take photos right now, so I just present some WIP pics.

Sorry for the bad quality of the photos, they were taken with my phone. Updates coming soon!
See ya later!

Looks great dude, the direwolves fit really well.
Sort of reminds me of the mordheim plague coach.

Thanks! And yeah, that plague cart was kinda my inspiration for the build.
Also, I successfully finished building and basing the coach today, so expect finished photos tomorrow! The painting - now that's another thing, tho I'm pretty sure I'll have to paint it too!

Looking good, so far though just a hint too tall for my taste, though I haevn't seen the finished produst yet, so I'll reserve any real criticsm. I like the use of wolves over nightmares though...

Yeah, it seems a bit tall for me too, especially with the added top part, but I won't take it apart now :D Using the wolves was my friend's idea, and they look really cool with the coach! :)

I like it. I've been thinking of adding a Black Coach to my collection and after the success I had with my Steam Tank Scratch build, I'm tempted to try this.

Hmm, scratchbuilt steam tank? Can I see pics of that somewhere?
Also, finished photos! Yeah, it's a bit too tall and boxy, if I make a next one, it will be better!

personally it looks good that tall. The old stage coaches where tall enough that you could stand up inside and thats about the right size.

It looks good, but like you say, as a stage coach. I think the black coach is modeled more on the hearse version (the image I have is from The Magnificent Seven), since there is a coffin in the back. I guess it would make sense to have enough room for the dead to sit up in it for the VCs...

I must say that is great. Yes it's a bit on the 'boxy' side, however it does look good. I would like to see it all painted up.

Looks awesome! I love scratch building and kit bashing myself, keep us posted on the progress. Are you going to paint it as well?

Thanks everyone :)
a) Yeah, it's kinda based on some pictures of stage coaches, that's the reason for the similar feel :)
b) Most likely I'll be painting it, since my friend is too damn lazy to paint anything... :P

Nice coach. Honestly, I like the more boxier feel to the black Coaches. As far as I have always read in books and the little bit of fluff, aren't they the means for a vampire to travel during the day? It would seem much more plausible that they be a more enclosed coach than an open chariot.
I wouldn't mind seeing some curtains or maybe gypsy shades on the windows of the coach though, especially if you are not going to paint the inside.

this looks really good, could be touched up a little, but man, with a model like that, what do you need the original for?.
