40 k tattoos?

So a while back i remember some post about 40k or nerdy tattoos. being inspired from that post here is my chaos icon i got on my arm. very beautiful if you ask me.

It's my goal to eventually get the mark of Slaanesh on my shoulder blade. Mainly because I've always wanted to get nerdy, potentially sexy tattoos and what's nerdier/ sexier than a mark of Slaanesh peeking out when I'm wearing a strapless top/ dress.

But I applaud you on the placement of the Mark of Chaos in such a visible spot, its a sign of true devotion.

Epic. I got one better, I'm eventually going to get the mechanicus logo the skull and cog tatooed on my back. I'm also trying to get a job as an engineer. and if I can I'm going to have it done in GITD media.

I'm thinking of getting a tattoo of the Chaos Icon on my upper arm, and possibly the Eye of Horus on my other upper arm.

not 40k but i have the cobra sign on my arm (see avatar).

i nearly had a mark of slannesh or tzeench on my arm also, but decided against it as i could not get a decent copy of the 'lost and the damned' one. (those that remember know the one i mean).

i think i may end up with a tzeench mark incorporated into my polynesian tribal full sleeve (upper, lower almost done :)) maybe have all 4 surrounding a world tutrtle

I'll be finishing my bachelor of engineering studies at this summer, and i do have been thinking of the mechanicum coq.

Other tattoos i've been thinking:

- Back wide (from shoulder to shoulder) blood angels icon, with blood drop at the center (for the coolness of it)
- Imperial Aquila, in the lower neck or on the shoulder (for the love of the guard)
- Grey Knights themed logo (yet i have no idea what that would be) - my other true love

For a long time i longed for a blue star on top of my eye / eyebrow in honor of Tanith first and only, but probably pretty too visible i think..


Oh, and one i would most definately love would be a text "Legion Mortis" running down my neck, starting just below the ear (left or right - i am not yet sure)

When I got on my first leave from my first active duty station, I went out with my buddies and while they got flag and stupid eagle tattoos, I got a chaos star on my back. They all laughed at me, until one of them realised that their flag had 10 stripes instead of 13. chaos takes they day.

also got a ravenhead on the front of my left shoulder and maybe sooner or later a scarab on the front of my right shoulder. does that qualify myself as a thousand sons corvidae? :D

The best tattoo I saw was a guy from pittsburgh who had the classic Terminator Captain badge on his upper half of his arm. It was super cool.

wow, so many ideas! and so many posts! i need to start seeing some pictures though! any of the chaos gods marks would be pretty cool. i might get a tzeentch one worked into my completely 40k unrelated sleeve just for kicks and giggles. kinda like an easter egg in videogames you know? space wolf tattoos are also pretty easy, as are any space marine tattoos. who ever posted one about the termie shoulder pad one, i've seen that one before too! and it was super bad ***! and congrats dark link, thats a pretty kick *** shirt too. now just make it permently on your body haha

thank you taco! yes that was the major nerve wrecker for me as well. thats why i got just a chaos star instead of something too specific. all my coworkers thought it was a compass rose when they saw it. everyone wins!

My biggest worry is what I would say if somebody asked what the tattoo was. Especially if there not apart of the geek culture. While it wouldn't be the worst tattoo I've seen (brother-in-law has Abu from Aladdin) Still seems like a rather large branding mark to put on yourself. Curious as to what you respond with when some one asks you about it?

it really depends on the person and the mood i'm feeling. i'm i'm tired or just dont care about the person lol, i'll just tell them its a maori star or a compass rose. but if theyre a good person or if i'm a good person ;) ill explain what it is and why i got it.
abu seems like an interesting tattoo choice. haha i saw a guy with the coolaid man on his thigh. that was entertaining. haha
and as for my job, i wear sleeves so i always end up concealing it anyways, as i would do for any formal event. but if i'm ever at a gw store its always a great conversation piece.
so in review i'm still very happy that i got this tattoo. :)

That's just a little to much for me there Mr chili dog. Just the Dark Angels symbol or the iron halo skull (right shoulder pad) with the writing would be more to my liking. Guess I would be afraid of the ink fading out to the point that someone would have to rework it or something and just not get it right. Oh well......

Now planning on a crimson fist logo on the same arm.


Funny note: my wife has a tzeetch mark on a rather private place ^^ (she wouldnt let me take a pic of it. so dont ask :D )
