Obligatory welcome post

Hi all. Was lurking here for quite some time, as I usually do at any forums, but I just couldn't let such an amazing possibility (meaning obviously the chance to win 400$) to pass.

I was playing LOTR and Warmachine for some time, but since WM community in my city is too competitive for me and I always liked Space Marines, I decided to give 40k a go together with my friend. He startes a GK army and I first considered Lamenters, but then chose Flesh Tearers. I have boutht the AOBR box and split it with another player and am planning now to buy SM battlebox.

So that's that. Hoping we will have a great time with not-so-new hobby.

Hi mate, im new too and I am returning to 40k from WM. I really love the game but I couldnt really keep up with the competitiveness and I didnt really find the hobby side as fulfilling as my days kit bashing my old 40k armies. I have some genric space marines laying around but I hear rumours of Dark Angels making a comeback and they are my favourite chapter so I may hold out for them.
