Tyranid 1k Choice.

Ive been playtesting and tweaking my list for a 1k Tournament im heading to and need some opinions.

Currently my list looks like this.....

Tyrant - Wings, Sword+Whip, hive commander - 255

7 Ymgarl Genestealers - 161
7 Ymgarl Genestealers - 161

Termagants x18 - 90
Tervigon - Catalyst, Toxin Sacs, Adrenal Glands - 195

- 862


Now as for my choices for those last points......

6 Ymgarl Genestealers - 138
Pro - Ymgarls are awesome. More bodies, more rending and controlled deployment.
Cons - Already have 2 units, Not enough terrain means less deployment chances.

Doom of Malantai + Spore - 130
Pro - Doom is a devastating Bomb to drop vs infantry or tanks, adds Anti Tank to the list.
Con - Single model = easy target, i dont have a model for a pod.

Deathleaper - 140
Pro - Leadership messing is closest to Anti-Psyker im gonna get, more rending, adaptable deployment options
Cons - Need to find 2 points, Single Model again, Deployment help is kinda wasted.

Gargoyles x20 - 120
Pro - Lots of models for screening, Flying infantry, Gargoyles are vastly underrated.
Cons - Screen isnt that effective for this list, more a tarpit in a kill-kill-kill list.

Any thoughts?

I love running as many mcs at 1000 points as possible. I personally would find a way to squeeze a trygon in there. my 100 point list runs 3 trygons.

I think one option im going to try that i hadnt considered is a unit of Normal Genestealers, adding Toxin sacs to them, and outflanking them 8 Strong.

Should be worth a try.

Gargoyles x20 - give them toxin sacs for a few more points. Drop 4 termagaunt to pay for it. you will be making more anyways. the Gargoyles will give your tyrant coversaves allowing him to work better and longer.
