With the advent of the Sanguinary Guard and their fancy wings and what-have-you I don't feel that the current Dante model is up to the job of representing the Lord of Baal so I've taken it upon myself to retask him as a Librarian.

The power-pack in the last photo is from the Death Company sprue; it's the one with the BA icon and parchment on it. Didn't want to overload the forum with massive pics so I didn't take one to show it.

He's about to get his first coats of paint.

Great conversion, but the flames direction bothers me. It looks like he's not moving or swinging it at all. If it were my model, I'd cut the sword at the hilt and pin it so the flames are moving with his apparent movement.

Looks good though, bro.

The idea is that he's condemning an enemy lying at his feet (which might be modelled in later), hence the downward gaze and pointing arm, while holding his sword-arm aloft and in the wind about to deliver the killing strike.

I'm not a good enough modeller to start messing about with pinning to be honest with you.

He looks awesome! Cant wait to see him all painted up. How much blue you gonna do?

Incidently, is the sword from an empire wizard? Coz that is one massive sword.

The pointing hand looks a little weird to me, like it's not properly proportioned. Other than that, neat idea.

Though, I've got to say, Dante's backpack is easy enough to swap for a Sanguinary Guard backpack, and he looks totally awesome that way.

Nice Librarian, I love the sword. This has given me a few ideas for my stormseer that I will hopefully construct in the near future

I would definitely suggest putting a modeled enemy at his feet. He looks cool, but without a target for finger and sword he also looks incomplete. It doesn't have to be a complicated one.

Looks good, but the fire could stand to be a bit brighter with more orange and yellow than red.

Nice conversion. Having a theme for a model always helps. I do agree with PoloticalOfficerKrad though. Save the full-on red for the tips of the flame (cooler part). Try using a very pale yellow-white at the blade (hottest part). Then just blend orange between the 2 extremes. Just thais simple step can take your great mini up a notch.

Keep up the good work.
