Space Wolf Rune Priest - The Might Thor

I'm a big comic book fan and I wanted to create a unique HQ choice for my Space Wolves. Since I'm adding a little Jack Kirby flair to all of my SWs, I decided to make a Thor model to act as my Rune Priest. (Of course, he takes Lightening and Hurricane.)

It's not my best paint job (which is to say it's still a WIP but I'm pleased with the conversion.)

The head and torso are Space Wolf models. The cape/backpack is an old metal captain's cape. The cap is from a Mordheim free company. The wings are from an IG Aquila. The arms are from IG catachan troopers. The shoulder pads are from IG tank crew. The hammer is a chopped up thunder hammer.

I had to look twice to notice it was still a SM body. Massive respect.

What kind of things are you adding to the rest of the army, or is that a later post?

I forgot to mention that the discs on his chest are nubs from a sprue.

The rest of my army is fairly standard. I'm thinking about making the company logo either a hammer, a bolt of lightening, or hammer and anvil.

On a very quick first glance I thought it was some sort of heroclix mini. So kudos for the great conversion.
