What type of bits do you have and you can sell them off for some change. If you have any Blood Angels or space marine legs i would be interseted in getting them from you. BA83

if you are talking about sprue that is totally cleaned of parts it makes good rubble piles either on bases or as larger "junk piles" for terrain. I like to use a bit here and there when making damaged buildings.
try adding some pieces of flat plasticard chopped up and plasticard tubes to make it look even better

Left over sprue is a gold mine. Firstly, the long and straight pieces can serve lots of purposes:

Hidden inside an an assembled model they can be cut to size and used to reinforce models. (my Mastodon tank has a sturdy frame work of sprue as well as additional exterior elements made of it.)

They can but cut and bent according to your needs when building the frame for a home made model.

Grind it up in a meat grinder and you have nice rubble.

Terrain. I once made a kind of Orky looking fence using the sprue as a frame and gluing various left over tank bits to it. Looked pretty good.

There's lots you can do with it if you have the imagination.

You can also melt it down! When I needed a wreckin' ball for my kustom stompa, the first thing I did was to chop up a bunch of sprue bits, slather them in cheap poly cement and roll them together into a ball. Voilą, a roughly-spherical base to glue plates and spikes to!

A while back I was wondering the same thing, in particular if GW should have recycling option. Even if it cost them more to get back the sprue than to buy fresh plastic I thought it'd be decent PR for them, particularly as plastic isn't the most environmentally friendly material.

Anyway I found a couple of threads about what to do and also discovered they did have a recycling policy just didn't really push it. You can read more here. (http://40kaddict.blogspot.com/2011/04/reduce-reuse-recycle.html)

Somewhat discussed in this thread http://www.lounge.belloflostsouls.net/showthread.php?t=19253 but the Defenestratus quote is probably the best idea.
for those leftover sprues - you can go get an el-cheapo meat grinder at wally world and feed the empty sprue into it. What comes out makes good flock for road terrain pieces when laid on top of PVA. Or hack it up into little peices and make rubble

Well, well, I had no idea. Good on 'em.
