and proud of it. Some buddies talked me into joining them in the 40k experience and I decided I'd try. I watched a few games this week and have tried my hand at building a few lists. Now to find out what to buy.

Welcome to this great game. The best advice I can give you on what to buy and what army to be is first go by which army you like the look of and then dabble in the background and storylines.

I was very lucky when I first started playing about 3-4 years ago. My friend had about 4 or 5 different armies, none of which were very large. We played games with all of his armies and I finally chose Eldar. I liked them for the tactics, fluff, and then the look of the army.

Have you read any of the novels yet? That might help you pick an army.
