Hi folks!
I guess I'll start with the latest addition to my army, a Predator Destructor feat. Chronus (although I call him "Aurelius") - some subtle conversions here and there, but the main focus point is Aurelius. I wanted him to be something between a Caesar and a football coach, cussing and swearing like good old Gaius Iulius after noticing he'd go bald soon.

And just to make sure you guys don't mistake Aurelius for an albino:

I'll post more stuff over the next few days if you like it. ;)

This looks good, I really like the conversion inside the back hatch.

A nice piece of work! I especially like the Mechanicus symbol on his shoulder pad. That's some good greenstuff work, there. And I think you nailed the Caeser/football coach thing!

I like his face. The shading and eyes are done very well.

I like the thousand yard stare he has going on. His mechanicus badge looks really good too. Looking forward to more.

Completely agree with this. That is a perfectly done face. It looks almost too nice thought no cyberparts and battle scars.

I really like it, although he looks like he's looking up as if thinking 'What the feth is falling out of the sky?'.

Thanks, guys. Getting feedback is always nice - and important, as well all know. :)

One small correction has to be done, however.
@ Subsocial: the Mechanicus shoulder pad actually is part of the tank kit - so no GS skills here. :(
The only GS i used on the tank is the commander's beard.

So... Here's my most famous miniature so far, Captain Gratus:

Painted him... well, more than a year ago oO

Just as a question is it ultramarine or mordian blue you have used as a base?

Rogan

Ha!
It was Mordian Blue. How did you guess that? ;)
I could post a tutorial if there's the need for it. And of course, an area to post it in!

Thought so :) it's just slightly darker than ultra.

a tutorial would be a great idea, always interested in how other people paint.

and here in this thread is as good a place as any :)

It looks good, and unfortunately I have no constructive criticism to add.

I do like the inset pictures. Did you free hand the chapter badge?

And unrelated to the paint job, does anyone know what are the nodes that are on all the swords are?

I love the paint job. I am not a fan of blue schemes but you have done it well.

Stunning work on both models. I'm not the biggest fan of the Leman Russ sponsons on the Pred, but other than that it's fantastic. I especially like the white hair, something not easy to do.

Awesome. Love the captain especially and the pose combined with the Storm shield conversion.

Any chance of a more of your army being posted up?

I totally agree that you're ever so slightly darker color palette looks awesome Rogan. I love that captain and am looking forward to seeing more from your army.

VTSvsAlucard: are you talking about the nodes on the blade, usually connected to the hilt buy way of a wire? If so I'm pretty sure it's the generator for the weapon's power field.

You mention doing a tutorial on how you painted them up/colors used. I'd love to see that on your basic tac marine, honestly. I've been working up a few different paint schemes for my ultramarines (haters gonna' hate) and while I've sort of found what I like, I'm not settled just yet and would love any advice. Your stuff looks gorgeous.

Just as a point of note, I always find that the GW Ultras have way too much red in them. I like how you minimized that a lot but still kept it alive (the cloak, the gems, etc.) Looks fantastic, and your gold really pops.

Wow, it's been a quite while since I last posted anything 'round here. Sorry for the delay, guys.
There's of course been a number of additions to my army, like two terminator squads, a chaplain and a devastator squad - unfortunately, I didn't take any pictures of them as groups (which I will do - perhaps even this weekend).
As for the tutorial, you can find it here (posted it on Dakka) (http://www.dakkadakka.com/dakkaforum/posts/list/360810.page).

Here's a random selection of troopers from the army, including the chaplain:
