Hi guys, stuck on a choice for my overlord in my 1850 point necrons, between a phylactery or mindshackle scarabs. Could you help me out?

Phylactery is only good if you die.. and come back.. Mindshackle will help in every combat you get in. So, Mindshackle all the way.

Mindshackles-the other is a waste of points-it's one-use with to get D3 wounds-can easily mess up on you and you could only get one wound back.

mindshackle scarabs over Phylactery anyday, Phylactery is just too gimmicky for my tastes.

Simple question: which option makes CC specialty units think twice about assaulting your lord? Take that one.

Hint: it's the scarabs

Mind shackles if there is even a small chance of him getting into CC.

Mindshackle can turn their 280pt HQ into a slobbering drooling mess, with a 'better than average chance' to do so (3 dice on the LD check means 10.5 is the average roll).... while the phylactery will only work on the off chance that the model gets back up...

I've had a set of mindshackle scarabs make the Sanguinor stab himself to death... totally worth it.
