Shame I want to spend rather than make money. More poiniently, I don't have it to spend. And I really like my pin badge. And my poster...

It's crazy. But if people are prepared to pay, people will always try to get their money.

Bit of a shame, I have friends who couldn't get to a store or missed out, not really fair on them to have to pay a lot for something if they really want it.

I never saw the pin badges available, had they all gone by 9:15?

That shouldn't come as much of a surprise really. That sort of thing happens with army magic cards all the time and with Space Hulk and the DE WWPs. Dreadfleet has been the only exception to this as far as I know.

Which of course begs the question:

WHY DOESN'T GW SIMPLY SELL THIS STUFF!!!!

Much like how many licks it takes to get to the center of a Tootsie Pop, the world may never know.

Cus if they did, the demand wouldn't be anywhere near as high, so they probably wouldn't sell all of it. Space Hulk being the exception. Game's awesome!

But..they gave all that stuff out. They weren't making money from it anyway....

TBH th eonly thing they gave away free were the pins I think. And they went to the first 15 people into a store in the morning

Hmm... not at the GW store in Cincy...

All the US advertisements say that they'll be give aways also...

If you paid for any of those items, I'd consider calling GW Customer Service....methinks an intrepid GW employee may have made some money he shouldn't have....

Can anyone confirm a British store that was giving the posters out for free?

If not all of them were, I doubt they were supposed to be sold.

I won't use the US store I visited as an example, as it's plenty reasonable that the policies could differ between the States and the Isle.

At my store:
Pins = free, originally prizes for participation in Anniversary Events, but he had a lot of them so he gave them out like candy by the end of the day

Posters = $4.10

Bracelets = $3.00

Minis...of which he only had like five for sale = $33.00

Mousepads = No clue because no one wanted that crap

I'm one of the people on eBay selling a pin, an ork bracelet, and a chaos bracelet.

Not every one had a GW near them to go to. That doesn't mean they don't want cool swag. Pin's going for about $8 with eight bids on it. The bracelets are still around the price I originally set...99 cents with free shipping on all three auctions.

At my GW:

Pins were being dished out free.

Posters were £2

Bracelet thingys were £3

I think the mouse mats were £4 but I'm not 100% sure. If the mouse mat had been the same pic as the poster, I'd have been all over it. But as it was bobbins, I wasn't.

Yeah mine was doing posters at £2, wristbands £3, and i cut him off with the mousmat as it didn't have boobs, whereas mine does....
Didn't see any badges....

Pins/Badges seem to be a wierd thing. Some places had some many they coudlnt' get rid of them all

Ours only has 15-20 of them, and went to the first people through the door. And as there was queue of 75-80 people waiting when the store opened....they went pretty quick
