Yeah, I had heard they were coming, the rumour on Warseer though was that they were special deal to Independant stockists, so not available in your local GW.

I don't know if that's true, but it would certainly be a first.

For once I get to add a rumor myself :) I've heard rumors that the chaos ones are already sold out. Apparently they were bizarrely enough quite limited. I don't get the move on the part of GW. Obviously it must have been cheap to put together (some new art and boom off to the printers) but they did have the potential to be pretty good deals and thus could drive sales.

Buggle, nahh thats the new cut, thiner sides and new tank commander. I am interested by this... Maybe we will get a Tervigon and Termagaunt unit combo... Yeah I dont think we will somehow xD

As in independent retailers can't order any as GW has already ran out of them to retailers. Go figure. GW seems to be doing a lot of odd things right now to independent retailers and it reeks of "new guy" stupidities.

The spreadsheet for ordering that the local shop got sent listed them as "MAX 2ea", so yes, VERY strictly limited.

Posted that these were coming here (http://www.lounge.belloflostsouls.net/showthread.php?t=19538) a month ago. I'm hoping these are testing the waters as to whether there is demand for a combined kit like this. Having one for each army always available would be great.

All the unit+transport kits aren't new.

These originally came out in limited form around the time Apocalypse shipped. The Droppod+squad might be a new one - maybe.

With the limited splash release of these, it seems more like an attempt to dump some excess inventory or try a sales experiment.

In any case, I just with they would re-release the Windrider host. That boxed set was such a deal, and the only easy way to grab that many Eldar jetbikes at once.

Honestly didn't know these were a re-release however i wasn't playing 40k when apocalypse was released..

We got them here in kansas city, went into "Table Top Game and Hobby" three days ago and there was a great heap of them sitting on the new release table. As of yesterday however there were four left.

Too bad they didnt come out with one for necrons....

Yes it was ten troops and a vehicle in each set (except perhaps Orks who had more?).

i picked up one of these from my local retailer last friday, i got a tactical squad and a drop pod for under £30! RRP for fw is £43.50 for the both of them, came away feeling kinda chuffed :D

But then I loved the appocalypse kits that they did like the 10 Leman Russes or Space Marine Battle Company

The Dark Eldar one in particular was incredibly tempting, and I had never even really considered getting a Dark Eldar army before then! Especially now with the release of the Nid and Wolf kits, they could make some really awesome boxes.

I'm with ya. I'd love to see a mega kit for all of them. A cheaper way of starting an army for new and existing players alike can't be bad can it?

My LGS has one of the SM boxes. drop pod + squad for like $50. Too bad I'm trying to build my necron army.

I did wonder why GW stopped selling the first generation of these (that came out, if iirc, a few months after Apocalypse). Ok, they probably just worked out that they could sell a squad and a vehicle separately for more money.

For that matter, I don't know why GW doesn't revisit some of the big boxes they did for Apocalypse.

I know I'd buy a company or two of marines and about 50 Leman Russes if given the chance!

Though living in Australia, it's the only way GW minis seem vaguely affordable :(
