I'm buying up an Iyanden army but I need 20 Wraithguard and I don't want to spend $300 to get 'em. Anyone know of a good model from another source that might stand in for my Wraithguard without breaking my bank?

eBay....

Most Eldar don't sell for much on eBay, even Wraith Guard.

yeah sorry bud, but ebay is your best bet. Either that or wait for the new eldae codex, and pray to the emporer that they make wraithguard finecast and are sold in packs of 3 to 6.

I think you mean plastic packs of five. The fact that they haven't been finecasted yet points strongly to plastic with the new codex.

Not sure about other companies but I was looking at the new necron lychguard as a conversion possibility with a quick head swap using spare dire avenger heads with the faceplate GS'd over and some extra GS gems. The main problem is the guns which are harder to get/convert.

I've been waiting to do this army since early 3rd Ed and still, after all this time, can't justify the cost of those models. Here's to plastics sometime in the next year or two.

As for getting them now eBay does have a decent range though they're still relatively expensive. I like the above idea about playing around with some of the new Necron releases though.

I'm just gonna reitterate people here and say ebay

I have 11 Wraithguard, all real. I picked 6 up at once on ebay for £24 (considering they're 8 each...) and the rest here and there for about 3-5
