If a vehicle deep strikes does it count as moving flat out?

And if so, would said vehicle be destroyed if it scattered into terrain and rolled a 1?

Thanks in advance.

It counts as moving at cruising speed.

Yeah, p95 of the rulebook states that they count as moving at cruising speed. So the vehicle which deep strikes into difficult terrian would simply be immbolised on a roll one as if it had normally moved into dangerous terrain.

It counts as moving at cruising speed.
So if it's a Land Raider, you could assault out of it on the turn it deep strikes?

No, BRB pg95
..these units may not launch an assault (even if they have the 'fleet special rule)....
and to the argument that the vehicle is Deep Striking and not the passengers BRB FAQ

Q: Does a unit being transported by a vehicle that has
arrived by Deep Stike that turn also count as having
arrived by Deep Strike? (p95)
A: Yes.

not just what seatle said but in the blood angels codex the only one able to deepstrike the landraider it says you can not charge out of it

Ok, so interesting hypothetical for you all. If I have a vanguard vet squad in a land raider....can they use heroic intervention (not sure if that is the ability) to assault after deep striking in a land raider?

Utterly irrelevant and somewhat pointless question, but yes, obviously. Heroic intervention lets them assault when DSing and since they would count as DSing when disembarking from the land raider, yes they could assault. Though, even if you had the option to deepstrike a landraider as vanilla marines and put a jump pack squad in there, why would you bother? They can already deepstrike on their own and the raider doesn't offer them any extra protection. Why not have them land seperately and use the land raider for something else, like delivering a squad of shooty death that can't deepstrike or one that needs the protection of the raider until it can assault?

No they cant it says they must be jump packed equiped to do so and if they are in a land raider they cant have jump packs and dont think about doing it with storm ravens as they have faq'd against that too lol

Only if they deepstrike via jump pack. Also, don't bother giving them Dante--he doesn't have the heroic intervention rule and so he would keep the squad from assaulting. he's a great option for a squad full of melta, though.

aka a squad with the Banner...

really, I don't see what the problem is. The rules are quite clear about deep strike and assaulting. They are explicit in the BA codex, as well.
