Freebooter Miniatures

Freebooter Miniatures (http://www.freebooterminiatures.de/en) produce a lot of very characterful figures for their piratical game (which I've not played). A lot of them would make good heroes for various WFB armies, not to mention some nifty Mordheim gangs. The measurements of the figures are given, some may be a little large for WFB but in general they fit in quite well from my experience.

Ahh Werner Klocke, one of the best sculptors in the business, especially for female figures. I'm liking the Amazons he's done, what with them, the GW Mordheim ones and a few from other companies there's enough variation that it's tempting to try and make a small force of them....

Agreed, my gaming group has a Mordheim campaign pencilled in for May I might try and make an amazon group for it.:) I've used the Imperial arquebusiers for a handgunner honour guard for my Empire Countess, too.

Werner Klocke is an excellent sculptor, though it seems you either love his work or hate it, at least going by the reactions of my own gaming circle.

Form what I see it is hit or Miss his Daemon women are great but his Dwarf is Horrible and all the women and HUGELY endowed

I don't mind his two Dwarves, but they certainly aren't in the same league as GW, AoW, Trollforged or msot of the others. Over-endowedness is a common issue with fantasy miniatures, I don't think Freebooter is any worse than a lot of others. Regicide isn't too busty either.

So I ordered some of these mdoels after seeing them, and they arrived yesterday. I have to say I was not dissapointed, they are beautiful models. Delievery time form Germnay was about a week, so not too bad either and psotage costs were very reasonable. The models come little plastice bags rather than blister packs, but do have nice little playing card sized picture cards that come with them.

This is actualy a diceless Pirate game. Uses combat cards. Has anyone played ?
