Hallo everyone!
You see I play a Sisters of Battle army (I know that it got nerfed like there was no tomorrow but I like the fluff anyway) and I sent an e-mail to Games Workshop UK & Games Workshop US asking a very precise question. As you may already have noticed I know the answer but you will be quite amazed when you find out what was the "official ruling".
So the e-mail I sent went like that
Hello Games Workshop!
I'm Leandros and I have a question for you. When making a Sisters of Battle army list can I buy a ten-(wo)man Sisters of Battle squad and also purchase an Immolator, even though they do not fit inside?
Thank you very much for you time.
Leandros Mavrokefalos
Do you know what the answer is?
If not stick around anyway cause the answer may make your eyes bleed... (LOL)

If they wanted to be consistent with how they've ruled on the same question for other armies the answer would be: "Yes, as the squad might drop to 6 models or less during the game."
Somehow I'm guessing they said the opposite and made no mention of why it would differ from other armies.

I'm surprised they even answered a rules question, last time I tried they told me that they didn't answer them and I should speak to highly trained chaps in my local store. So what did they say?

Why wouldn't you be able to buy one? It gives you the option to, and does not list any restriction on squad size, so you can do so. The days of not being able to buy a immolator/razorback with a 10-man squad are long, long gone. There hasn't been a new codex that included that restriction in a very long time.

Yes. You can read the Dedicated Transport part of their entry, is says they can select any dedicated transport and doesn't indicated that you can't otherwise.

Well it seems that EVERYONE is right!
See what they have to say. (The reason I include names is that , for once they should take responsibility of what they say)
This is what Games Workshop Uk answered:
Hello
Thank you for your email. No, the unit would have to be small enough to fit in the transport. I hope that this is of help and if you have any problems please do not hesitate to get in touch.

And this is what Games Workshop US answered:
Hello Leandros,
Yes that is something that you are able to do.
Thanks!

Are they really so ignorant or the people who answer these e-mails , really don't have a clue about this game? I already forwarded their responses to one another and I'm really interested why a "serious" company like Games Workshop keeps doing these things. And I had enough because 6 days ago exactly the same thing happened with Forge World. I ask them about the Elysian on the phone and asked them again on facebook and guess what? The answer was completely different...
Great work Games Workshop...

Just goes to show the different levels of knowledge within customer services in general.
Just like the level of knowledge known by staff in the shops and it takes experience to fully understand everything properly.
Personally i'd rather come to BoLS and ask rules related questions than asking GW directly

Never ask customer service for rule interpretations, that isn't their job and these sorts of answers merely prove it. Having said that the second is correct, you can buy them an Immolator they just can't ride in it, as Darklink said.
There is a seperate email where you an ask questions for FAQing, but I'm not sure if they reply or if is just submissions.

Indeed, you get a more reliable rules response if you contact your LGS.
