Getting ready for the new dex! Sky Claws

Since I was able to look at the new codex I've been pulling apart marines and reassembling them to fit the needs I think I'll have with the new list.

Today I finished my Sky Claws.

I know they look VERY BLUE, but I assure you its the flash and the lighting. Most of the finer details are washed out from the flash also, but here they are none the less.

Well while not bad per say, they look rather... bland. The chest eagles and cabling and things like that aren't particularly picked out and some look like they aren't painted at all except for the base armor color. The armor shading itself also looks sort of odd, more like granite than shaded armor I suppose and some more contrast colors like reds, yellows, greens and so forth on more places than just the shoulder pads would be nice. Still not bad.

Its a nice start so far, but far from finished IMHO. I recommend adding my yellows and reds on the models, kinda like what you have on the shoulder pads. A little bit on the back packs, knee pads, opposite shoulder pad and you'll be set.
Nice work so far.

Did you stipple on your highlights by chance? It looks peculiar from your close up of the sergeant model.
