Hi gang,

As much as I love the single pose Meganob... I can't bring myself to buy a whole bunch of them. Just too samey. Can anyone recommend an alternative sculpt?

Thanks in advance :)

Kromlech makes some realy nice "Clanking Destoryers" that could make some good Count-as Mega nobz.

All I can think of, off the top of my head.

I've seen some good sucess with Orks in Terminator armour. Its plastic, cheaper, more customisable. Raid your bits box for weapons and kitbash stuff together

Once saw a "Deff Wing" army, that was Orks in Terminator armour with Rhino door riot shields counts as Dark Angels....

Personnally I'm not a fan of most Ork/Terminator Mega-Nobz, though that mostly boils down to the fact that they are terminators with ork heads... generally looks quite rubbish. That said, using them as a base and emptying your bits box on to them is a serious option and can work really well if you are willing to put in the effort. Mix it up with a load of Killa Kan bitz, and parts of those Kromlech Clanking Destroyers and you could really have something.

I'd also advise going to your local toystore/discount store and seeing if you can pick up any toy robots that are about the same size. Again, combine these with what I've all ready mentioned and you should be golden. Failing that, toy cars/trucks/diggers can provide no end of panels, chunks, pipes etc. that can be applied to the above. Just Maybe take a normal Ork/Nob for reference

A friend asked me to make him some, as we couldn't find alt. ones, what i did was cut little squares of plasticard and build up armour plates on them, then add little bits of pipe, worky gubbins etc. Simple, but it did the trick.

*built onto GW nobs that is*

I built mine by adding parts from my bits box to the plastic Nobs.

The loota, warbike and trukk kits have all been useful for spare parts.

Fantasy black orcs are also popular for helmets and armoured limbs.

ork nobz bokx (loads of bitz, guns and not too pricey) and some plasticard (or just use ALL the spare shoulder plates from the nobz box)

DONE :D
