What metal models or kits would you love to see converted to plastic?
For me its the Deff Dread/Killa Kan models.. the ****ed things dont even fit together properly and take a good 30 minutes of filing to get right...

Eldar aspect warriors. The whole eldar range is sooo close to being fully plastic.

Both the eldar and the deff dreads are high up there,

I wouldn't mind seeing the thousand sons, noise marines and plague marines becoming full plastic. Still, I think the inquisition has the greatest need for metal to plastic changes. I'm excited by the future dark eldar kits - I'm hoping the "complete overhaul" equates to almost completely plastic. After all, Space Hulk has shown us that GW's tech allows for plastics just as good (or even better) than their current metals.

In my view, nothing needs plastics more than Tyranid Gargoyles.

Is everything that isn't an independent character too much to ask?

Plastic Grey Knights probably wouldn't be a huge stretch... given the amount of plastic power armour floating around already, it's mostly a matter of making the Nemesis Force Weapons and the fancy wrist-mounted stormbolters...

Can't ICs be done too? I mean, I would love to be able to have some customisation freedom in my ICs, rather than being stuck with what GW tell me it should look like. I know people keep saying they can get more detail onto the metal models, but perhaps Space Hulk has proven that GW can do awesome plastics if they want (and GW may actually end up regretting the fact that they have shown people what their tech is up to).

Yeah, I think Space Hulk has shown us what they can do, and I would LOOOOVE for the ICs to be plastic; that being said, I'd take the units before the ICs 8 days a week.

Same, but since I previously pledged my left nut for a set of plastic Sisters, I will have to give my right nut for a collection of plastic ICs.

First would be Deff Dreads and Killa Kans followed quickly by Sisters of Battle.

I would make a non-special characters into plastic like the current SM commander, that would allow for us to easily model every option that commander can take. I mean, the SM codex allows a HQ to take bikes, jump packs, and termi armor. But only the Chaplain has an actual bike model, and the Jump Pack and Terminator models are all metal. Or take Eldar Autarchs or Exarchs. A huge plethora of unique equipment for them, all conveyed by metal models? I know plastics woulds sell well for HQ's too, so whats the deal in not making a simple $17-20 plastic box for all HQ's. The SM Commander and CSM Termi Lord appear they were popular.
Everything.
It's not that I hate metal models, it's just that I find plastic so much better. I wouldn't mind too much though if some of the special characters stayed metal (with a plastic version available ;) ).

Everything. So much easier to work with. If I had only one choice - Grey Knights
I would be happy enoguh if GW would convert all their metall-idicy to FW resin-a-like.
or to spell it other: FIRE PRISM. the dumb crystall is too heavy to hold and to dumb deisgned to even pin in place!

Sisters and Gargoyles would be great, but for me personally I would LOVE to see plastic Valhallans. It is hard to build a Soviet style human-wave army with figures that cost buckets and weigh even more.

Plague Bearers and Greater Daemons!!! The pewter versions of these models look horrible.

Tyranid Gargoyles are nasty to put together so I would start there,
After that all infantry that is listed in the respective codex as having options with these options available in the plastic kit.
40k is a miniatures based game and the miniatures are there to represent the forces deployed in the game (to the extent that many people stand by the WYSIWYG rule) yet options are often overlooked on the models. Plastic kits could and should resolve this (I am aware that pre Black Reach SM Dreads did not have a multi-melta available for the model, and other such omissions). Having to rely on Forge World for non "specialist" additions to your force seems unfair to me.
"Plastic For All" should/ could mean a far more varied assortment of armies being played, as are available in the codices.

Special Characters will likely never be made into plastic; because of pricing problems.
People will pay $30+ for a single solid metal guy, but they would be paying the same price for plastic too (which would make people feel ripped off). The reason the price wouldn't change is because special characters are priced to pay off the molding costs. A mold is expensive, you can usually only sell one unique character per buyer and not everyone will buy a special character.
Space marines are the top seller, and you know people aren't buying a boat load of special guys; maybe one in 3 or 4 are buying Vulkan, one in 6 or 7 buy the Calgar set. But every single space marine player is buying 3 boxes of tact marines, so that pays off the mold at least 10 times faster then a special character pays off his.
Would you really pay $40 for a plastic Calgar, or $30 for a platic Vulcan?

Ogryns, a new set for Psyker battle squads, Stormtroopers, Hydra flak tank, a new set for Penal Legion and a accessories box set with guns, bombs and other stuff.

I'd love to see the chaos dreadnought in plastic. Space Marines get plastic dreads, why can't I? I also want to see the Thousand Sons and Plague Marines go all plastic.

I'm on side with any of it. But I resent most strongly that plastic dreads and terminators are now the same cost that their metal forebears used to be. So wouldn't want to pay £12 for a plastic abaddon in 2 years time.
Same, but since I previously pledged my left nut for a set of plastic Sisters, I will have to give my right nut for a collection of plastic ICs.
interesting, either you have no further use for them or haven't needed them so far. Lets hope there are no other figures that you need in plastic:)

mmmm plastic, makes conversions and all sorts of fun stuff much easier.
the entire range would be nice :D, but Eldar and some older models reprinted in plastic would be sweet. some new Chaos items in plastic would be apreciated as converting imperail stuff to the better side (we have cookies) is fun but tempts me to do silly things like installing LEDs and repositioning things. (dred legs are a pain to move but quite doable) ooooh just had a though. plastic oblits please!!!!.

I would love to see everything but ICs in plastic.
At the very least, all TROOPS choices should be plastic, and at least 1 HQ choice per army.

Chaos Dread needs a plastic kit so do havoc squads. I agree with Ork Deff Dreads and KIlla Kans in plastic. A lot of the new IG vehicles could use a plastic kit as well.

See, here's my thinking on IC/Special Characters:
Why couldn't GW do one or two molds, akin to the Space Hulk sprue, and then just cut them per individual model and sell them in blisters like that. It would seem to be a good solution to the expense of the mold.
I dunno, just thinkin out loud.

Sisters of Battle, hands-down. Grey Knights would definitely be nice but there are at least ways to convert terminators and power armor into GK versions. I wouldn't mind the random price hikes in models as much if it meant converting all-metal armies over to plastic versions (with a possible new codex? ^_^).

I would add that providing the sets are cheaper then metal! lol
