Zoats as Hive Guards

I have old OOP Zoats with big guns (not pistol like)
Can I use them as Hive Guards (using 40mm base)?

I don't see why not, so long as you make it clear what they are and what they are 'equipped' with. Shouldn't be a problem unless your gaming circle as strict views on 'counts as'.

Yes I thought same - in some way HG replaced Tyranid Zoats (at least both described as centaurlike creatures)

Hive Guard always struck me as an 'updated for 5th' version of Zoats, so I'd say go for it!
