Hi all,

I just wanted to share the building process of my IG force with you guys!

The original threads are on dakkadakka already, but I'll give you these for a first glace at what I'm planning to do for the whole army:

Love the Valkyrie Chopper. Of course, you now need Dutch Arango to tell people to get to it.

Wow. Those are awesome conversions!

Where did you get the metal G36 gun bits?

Thanks...but ...do I have to know what Dutch Arango might be ?

They are from Hasslefree. Here's the link: http://www.hasslefreeminiatures.co.uk/pack.php?pack=1866

WOW, just WOW!

Love the valkyrie, love the jeep (what do you count as? A sentinel or heavy weapons team?)

Great job on all of the conversions, and great painting :) I was planning on giving some constructive criticism, but about the only constructive thing I can say is show us more pictures please :D

I'm hazarding a guess that its a Humvee actually, but either way it look cool, good use of Ork Wheels!

I can see it's a humvee :P

I was just asking what he counts it as in games ;) Though having spotted the heavy weapons teams in the last picture, I guess probably not them :) So I'm guessing it counts as a sentinel.

Actually, since it has Heavy Flamers on the front, and is also HUGE, I think its supposed to be a chimera :P

Either way, those look friggin AWESOME!

Valdore

hehe, that was the other option, but I could also see those heavy flamers being headlamps, I guess we wait for a response :D

Those guys are awesome. That will be a really original army if all of your guys have those guns.

Thanks all!

Valdore, it's going to count as a Chimera. I have two more of those in the pipeline:

Here's some pics of the Infantry and Veterans, as well as an army shot so far:

Very nice :D and thanks for clarifying the counts as ;)

And what is that chimera modification at the back that I can see? :)

That is actually a LR modification... and if I can pull it off right, it's going to be a Hellhound ^^

Here's some more pics: close ups of my Infantry squads:

I'm not too sure about the Hevay Flamer placement on the Chimera's, looks a little odd, but otherwise looks stunning, and if everythings painted to the standard of the first Guardsman this is gonna be a stunning log, look forward to seeing more!

Wow.

The very first model is perfect. Tons of character and what a great idea for pose.
Other than him, I think I like the soft caps on the Sergeants - its a look I'm going for as well. Are those hassle free heads too?

Thanks but no, these are from Pig Iron, not from Hasslefree. Four of the Kepi-heads come with this pack of sprues:

Love the first painted Officer...really great pose and the colour scheme looks really cool. I like how well you have done the mud/grime on this model and also the jeep - makes them look more 'real'...

Keep it up and I'm hoping to see more with paint on soon!

absolutely amazing work mate, the valk is beautiful, i was thinking of doing some minor conversions to mine, now i'm absolutely going to have to, or i'd never live with myself knowing your army is out there!! :D

the rapelling guy is such a simple conversion, i'm amazed! and nice use of the muzzle flares, they're the ones from armorcast arent they? or at least a company that sell through them anyway. i'm going to have to keep an eye on this one, its everything i love about the IG
