Hasslefree Miniatures (http://www.hfminis.co.uk/) is another boutique miniature company with sizeable ranges of both sci-fi and fantasy miniatures sculpted primarily by Kev White (owner). Some may recall he sculpted Theodore Bruckner and Reaper (http://www.forgeworld.co.uk/Warhammer/THE-EMPIRE/THEODORE-BRUCKNER-AND-REAPER.html) for Warhammer Forge as a freelance project. He seems to sculpt a lot of naked women, and does a decent job for the most part. Some favourite sculpts:

Elves.

Ceril:

More villagers, great for adding flavour to Empire village/town boards and dioramas.

Kiddies:

There is something to be said about these miniatures from small operations. They have a certain charm to them that is mirrored in older GW miniatures. I think a lot of that charm comes from the 'hand-made' aspect and (forgive my wording) lack of perfection.

I believe that it is the imperfections that make something truly appreciable; and these minis and others like them have a personality that shows a bit about the sculpter.

So many of GW's minis appear "perfect" bc of the computer assisted sculpting techniques- gone are the days of each and every model being hand crafted with a degree of individual attention and personality. And while they do produce amazing minis; sometimes it is a great thing to take a few minutes and scope out smaller producers to see what hands create.

Either way, thank you for continually posting these minis from smaller brands- I would never know half of them existed and enjoy seeing their work!

they got some great miniatures. Does anyone know the boardgame Zombies!!! ?
im using the survivalists/ zombie hunters from hasslefree as game pieces to make the boardgame more interesting, and so the game figure of everyone looks different.
not really a fantasy version but im a huge fan of this miniature, especially with the baseballbat and the devil fingers.

We've been playing All Things Zombie as a club multiplayer game for a few years now and most of us use Hasslefree adventurers for our heroes. They've got an excellent Hazmat team that eBob sculpted for them as well, all armed up with assault rifles. Perfect for clearing out any potentially tainted survivors

Between Hasslefree adventurers and Studio Miniatures' zombies you can do a good pass at a Left For Dead game as well :D
