So, GW Oxford is holding a tournament with mad rules:

You're allowed any army made from a single battleforce box and no other pieces.
Greenstuff is allowed to make aesthetic changes but not to fundamentally alter a model (so no sculpting weapons out of green stuff). You can kit-bash like mad though- someone's made a Greater Daemon out of a unit of Horrors...
You are only allowed on HQ choice, and there are no special characters.
There is no points limit or Force Organisation chart.
Grey Knights and Necrons have army bundles as they don't have battleforces yet: 4 Strike Squad boxes and a Rhino or 2 Warrior boxes, 1 Immortals box and 1 Arc.

So... What's the strongest army you could come up with using those rules? There's been a lot of theories flying around at GW Oxford! The main contenders currently being discussed are:
Space Wolf box = 1 Rune Priest, 3 Wolfguard in a drop-pod, 16 Lone Wolves, 5 Wolf Scouts. The Space Wolf box has such a great array of special weapons, this will be a brutal army...
Blood Angels box = 1 Librarian/Reclusiarch w/Jump Pack, 9 Vanguard Veterans/Deathguard with Jump Packs, 10 VV/DC in a Rhino.
And my current favourite, the army of Sanguinary Priests!

Of course, all these suggestions are great at breaking face but poo at holding objectives. I think at least one small Troops choice may be very useful! Grey Knights are tempting?

Necrons.

Convert 2 Royal courts, each with 5x Destruction crypteks with lance, 5x lords with scythes, mindshackle and tesseracts, and res orbs (take all the gear). Use synaptic disintegrator barrels for staff handles, and greenstuff cloaks and cyclopean heads.

This leaves you with 14 warriors and 5 immortals. Make 5 immortals with tesla, 5 with gauss, then a unit of 9 warriors.

Lord with command barge and warscythe should mash up any tanks at this level. Alternatively, have the annihilation barge, and take a phaeron with the warriors (all the wargear)
