Gamezone Miniature (http://gamezoneminiatures.de/)s produce an extensive range of metal miniatures that are highly compatible with WFB. I own quite a few of their Dark Elf and Empire kits, the sculpt quality is nice but they often need lots of filling and pinning to stay together. They also are not cheap. Some favourites:

Dark Elves:

Sorceress on Pegasus:

Female Lancers (Black Guard, Executioners etc)

In all they produce kits for (in WFB terms) Empire, High Elves, Dark Elves, Beastmen, Wood Elves, Warriors of Chaos, Vampire Counts, Bretonnians, Dwarfs, Orcs and Goblins and Tomb Kings along with a few miscellaneous oddments.

I have 3 units of 20+ DE spearmen using the Gamezone lancer spearmen thing...Very costy but the end result is a unit that looks exactly like how it's suppose too instead of having oversized hands and a very pseudo-anime (ish) look and feel to it. Sadly the GW near me does not allow me to use those at tournies or regular play because a kid thought they were GW product after i explicitly told the kid they are not. The GW manger then told me "You see! They got conpuzzled bout you're (yes he has bad grammer) awesome-ish model's that are vastly superior to our!!!" So at tournies i use Nids with spear and shield as spearmen...at least till he allows me to use my gamezone d00ds. Which should be soon lol

I have one of the chaos chariots. I got it for Xmas last year. Never actually put it together though.

Yep, I use Gamezone lady lancers for the front rank of my DE spearmen to hide the GW plastics. Not so much to save money but because I don't need any more spearmen so why buy them when I could buy more Witch Elves.;)

I'm glad I'm not reliant on playing in GW stores, I understand why they have that policy but I love using other companies kits to add variety to my armies.

I've gotten some of their character models myself, very lovely stuff. Fewer fitting issues in the multi-part ones than the GW ones, but there are of course still some of those present. Reckon it's due to the fact that GW force-cools their metals and Gamezone allows them to cool at a much slower rate (affects shrinkage and the crystalisation you see in some GW metals).

Well I'm thinking of the harpies and Dark Elf sorceress on Pegasus for fitting problems, they were worse than anything with GW I've encountered short of the old S-bend dragons. My brothers had some problems with other kits too. When did you order yours, perhaps they have improved their techniques recently, I bought mine a good 18-24 months ago.

I want to say it was about 2 years ago, it was just before or just after we bought this house.

I went with the humans and dwarves, and some mounted models without a problem. There wasn't a sign of a butterknife anywhere! (Anyone who's built Azhag knows exactly what I'm talking about with that.)

Well most of the problems my brothers and I had were with the Dark Elf range, and some minor fit issues with my Empire knights. I guess maybe they are just a bit more inconsistent or the DE range is a bit less well designed. It isn't a big issue though.

Game zone are converting their kits to resin plastic:

Twenty five euros for 30 models (http://www.gamezoneminiatures.com/tienda/en/dark-elves/1624-dark-elf-infantry-box-plastic-resin-.html), not at all bad. Hope the cast quality is sufficient though.

You got the price/quantity a little wrong there EG, it's 25.50 Euros for 30 figures. There is also a box of 5 cavalry for 24/50 and 2 lots of infantry that are 9 figures for 10.50.

If the sculpts are good (and from the pics they certainly look to be) then that is amazing value for money.

Dark riders made of resin.......sounds very interresting. I think my Dark Elves need a little of those.
