Tau Farsight Mod

I'm thinking of making a mod for my XV8 that will make him a farsight model. I'm thinking of taking a Target lock or a XV head, and gluing a Grey Knight power sword to the end of it, slap on a magnet to the back of it and call it a day.

If you have a way to get ahold of the bits, you might consider using a Warscythe or Hyperphase Sword from the new Necron Lychguard kit. They're actually very close to the Farsight art, and the Dawnblade was found on a Tombworld, after all.

That said, he's your model. The Rule of Cool applies. Plus, since Farsight's literally the only battlesuit with a close combat weapon ever, it should be pretty obvious what it represents. ;)

I did a Farsight conversion using a Shas'o Rymr Forgeworld model and a Wraithlord sword. It came out pretty good. In hindsight, I wish I would have done a better pose, but I still think it came out ok.
