[Deadlift]

Ok, Here is my take on a new Necron colour scheme. Not so bling as some I have seen but having just finished 25+ Sanguinary guard I had to stay away from gold. My painting has come on a bit since I 1st started my Necron army 3 years ago so I have opted for a new scheme. Not a massive departure from the average Cron but a little different non the less. I attempted to try a subtle OLS which is something I have always struggled with. In this case less is more I think

arggh dammit whilst previewing my pics, I noticed a couple stray bits of flash...please forgive me on that :)

I like the blue a lot. You should trying fooling around with a blue wash as well...perhaps to tint the silver parts and echo that 'coldness' through the entire model. I struggle a lot with OSL myself, and I think yours looks solid.

It looks sort of unfinished. I'd add a contrasting colour somewhere and that woould make it pop.

It doesn't look bad, but like it has been said before, it looks almost unfinished. Also, you need to clean up the places were it was attached to the sprue pieces, they 're barely noticable but they're there, and they really take away from the model.

Yeah I noticed the sprue flash as I said in the original post and its now sorted. Not sure what to add to the paint scheme though, I didn't really want the models to "pop" so much as I want them to blend into my urban gaming board. Their Snipers after all. I could paint more of the plates the grey blue colour but other than that I am not sure ?

Any ideas ?

Maybe just a cross-hair on the eye, or should that be a targetting matrix? follow that with some nectrontyr runes on a few key armour plates and your laughing.

I'd suggest either a bright yellow (or green if you want to go classic necons) or possibly a vivd red. either way, subtlety would be the key to making it work rather than big, position-giving-away-ing emblems.

I think red would really make it pop, in small enough portions it wouldn't give them away. I'd also paint the Butt of the gun black, the barrell too if you could do it without messing up that lovely OSL
